Training Programme on Mushroom Cultivation organized by Department of Microbiology
7 days training programme was organized by the department of Microbiology for P.G. Students in collaboration with Govt. Horticulture College, Pendri, Rajnandgaon.
The inauguration of the programme was on 07-09-2017. The Chief Guest of the inaugural session was Dr. N.P. Dixit Vice-Chancellor of Durg University, Durg, and Special Guest of this function was Dr. S.K. Jadhav Professor & Head, S.O.S. in Biotechnology, Pt. RavishankerShukla University, Raipur. Chairperson of this programme was Dr. R.N. Singh, Principal, Govt. Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon and Dr. R.N. Ganguli, Dean of Govt. Horticulture College, Pendri, Rajnandgaon.
The Programme Co-ordinator of this training was Mrs. Sonal Mishra, H.O.D., Dept. of Microbiology, Govt. Digvijay College,Rajnandgaonand Dr. B.S. Asati, Professor, Govt. Horticulture College, Pendri, Rajnandgaon.
Dr. A.L. Rathor, Dean S.K.S. College of Agriculture, Rajnandgaon, Dr. B.S. Rajput, Senior Scientist and Head of KrishiVigyan Kendra, Rajnandgaon, Mr. Trilok Kumar, Assistant Professor Botany, Govt. Digvijay College,Rajnandgaonwas also present as guest in this programme.
In Inaugural session,All the dignitaries had motivated the students for gaining more and more practical knowledge and appreciated the step of Department of microbiology for organizing this type of training programme. Such type of training can be develops skills and entrepreneurship also.
In these seven days the students had learned importance and scope of mushroom cultivation, production techniques of spawn, preparation of begs for mushroom production, practical demonstration and practice of bagging and filling of mushroom substrate at Bharregaon- a unit of Govt. Horticulture College, protection during mushroom cultivation, Economic analysis of mushroom, visited the mushroom units run by different cultivators of mushroom in Banhardi.
The lectures and practicals were explained to students by Dr. R.N. Ganguli, Dr, B,S, Asati, MrNitinTorray, Mr. Chandan Das, Mr. Shiv Kumar Sahu, Dr. Swati Bisen, M.K. Chandrakar, Dr. Shushila, Mr. ShivajiLimje.
The Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.K. Patil of Indira Gandhi KrishiVishwvidyala Raipur also visited and interacted with students during training programme at Bharregaon.
The closing ceremony of the event was held on 14-09-2017 in Bharregaon. The chief guest of the valedictory function was Dr. K.K. Sahu Professor S.O.S. Biotechnology, Pt. RavishankarShukla University and chairperson of this session was Dr. R.N. Singh, Principal, Got. Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon and Dr. R.N. Ganguli, Dean Govt. College of Horticulture, Rajnandgaon.The Programme Co-ordinator Mrs. Sonal Mishra, H.O.D., Dept. of Microbiology, Govt. Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon and Dr. B.S. Asati, Professor, Govt. Horticulture College, Rajnandgaon, Mr. Trilok Kumar, Asstt. Professor Botany, Govt. Digvijay College, Dr. A.L. Rathor Dean, S.K.S. College of agriculture Rajnandgaon, Mr. NeerajSahu, A.D.H. Rajnandagon, Dr. B.S. Rajput Senior Scientist, K.V.K. Rajnandgaon also present in this session.
The training was whole heartedly appreciated by Dr. N.P. Dixit Vice-Chancellor of Durg University and Dr. S.K. Patil, Vice-Chancellor of I.G.K.V. Raipur and positively remarked by Dr. R.N. Singh sir as students learn to earn their livelihood and got practical knowledge which is need of an hour one can’t be survived with bookies knowledge in today’s era. He congratulates the Dept. of Microbiology students and teachers and promised to open a mushroom unit in the college where production of mushroom andtraining can be given to large numbers of students.
Dr. R. N. Ganguli and Dr. B.S. Asati had appreciated the step of Dr. R.N.Singh sir and assured to help in every possible way to establishthe laboratory. The best bag making prize was given to Miss. KayenatAnjum and Miss. PoonamSahu. Cultural programme was also performed by children of the village in this function.
Mrs. Sonal Mishra had congratulated the students and given thanks note to Dr. R.N. Singh, Dr. R.N. Ganguli and Dr. B.S. Asatifor the training programme.
